Transformation of Women's Leadership seminar.

Two days ago, I voiced out my craving for steak to my Mama. She asked me to find a free time this week to go to her office so that we could have one during lunchtime or dinner. Thus, making all this happened yesterday.

Attend the Transformation of Women's Leadership seminar at De' Seri Endon, Puspanita, Putrajaya.

It was, awkward, at first as every time I stumble upon humans they would ask me the exact same question, "From which department are you?" What do you expect me to answer as the only thing I know is that I just graduated from high school?! Nevertheless, Mama's being a lifesaver, she would answer on behalf of me, This is my daughter actually. Just finished her SPM... & so on, so on explaining why she brought me here.

The dining room.

I was eating a plate of noodles and was sitting next to a bunch of old women. Basically, they were all government workers from different department, and guess what they were discussing about?
.

.

.

About GST!!!!

Something about they weren't clear with it. I wanted to laugh my stomach out but, that would be something I don't know, rude? so, I continue eating my noodles.

Before the seminar started.

During the seminar.

There were almost 1000 women who came to enliven the seminar.

Anyway, I sat next to a doctor. I don't know what's her name. So, the same question came out again, "Where are you from?" Which basically means, which department I am working for, but again, I am just an unemployed SPM leaver, remember? I looked at my Mama's friend who's sitting next to me. "Accountant department." she answered the doctor's question.

The doctor is very friendly indeed. She is so nice, and I do feel guilty for lying to her that I was an accountant when the reality is, I haven't even started my University life.

Guess, what's her next question, peeps?

"Are you married?"

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

I was about to answer, "I'm not, I'm still young! How can I?! I'm only 18!!!!" But then, I just said. "No, I'm not." as the fact that I had lied to her slip on my mind. Guess what happened next?! SHE  SHOW ME A PICTURE OF HER BOYFRIEND, OH MY GOD. Double the guiltiness.

Anyway, skip that, let's proceed with what I had gained throughout the seminar.

Most of the speakers are inspiring women. They weren't a housewife. They work for a living but at the same time have kids to take care of. Nonetheless, they manage to prove that woman can do what man do. They prove that, as a girl, a lady, a lass and a woman, we could also achieve our dreams despite the fact we are 'females'.

Here are the slides that I managed to capture during the seminar before my phone's battery drained off.

Women responsibilities.

Referring to the video which I recorded, she wanted the women to know who they really are and what they like. We have to look at our strengths, show it and don't focus on our weaknesses. As a woman also, we have to understand ourselves.

"The first thing for you to be happy is to know who you are."

"Do not ever lose who you are."

"Find time to do what you like, because if you don't do what you like, you'll be depressed. Thus results in the nagging."

The next speaker which I found to be very inspiring is ACP Ong Chin Lan who is the Assistant Director General of the Royal Malaysian Police. She's a policewoman who has a Master in Psychologist!!!! Can you believe it?! She basically share with us her experiences as a police and the cases that she had dealt with.

After that, the well-known, Dr. Robiah binti Kulop Hamzah who is a Motivational and Counselling Expert. Her talk was the best out of all. Her speech was about how to communicate.

I would love to share some of communication tips that she had shared with us.

First before you speak, you have to think of what you want to say. Is it good, or bad? How to react to other people's response and so on. Secondly, you face expression. Whatever you want to say, you have to, smile. Thirdly, every morning before you go out take like a minute to look at the mirror and praise your beautiful face.

Last but not least, remember M V V M.

M - Mission; What do you want other people to receive from your speech?
V - Vision; How will they react as soon as you finish talking? (If I'm not mistaken).
V - Value; I barely remember what's was about. Think if what you want to say is valuable to others, perhaps?
M - Meaning; ... I regretted as I didn't brought my pen and notebook along.

Family Day at Teluk Batik.

School holidays have finally arrived, and Mama's siblings decided to organize a Family Day at Teluk Batik situated at Lumut, Perak to keep the bond stronger despite the miles between us. Just so you know, it was a 4 days and 3 nights vacation.

March 15th.

It was the first day of our trip to Perak, so nothing interesting really happened that day. Except for I drove an automatic car, for the first time in my life! Never drive one before, that's why I was so excited when my aunt's allowed me to drive hers.

At night we had a mini Tahlil feast between us. Then,

It's barbecue time!

(Excuse the bad photography skill).

The families.

March 16th.

From Ipoh, Perak offed we all go to Lumut, Perak.

Stopped by at our home-stay to unpack our stuffs. After that we had our lunch at one of the stalls situated at Lumut Waterfront.

& go shopping?

Luncheon, done.
Shopping (Nah, not really), done.

Next,

Let's had some fun by the beach.

I had never been to Teluk Batik, Lumut, Perak, before. Personally, I think it's just like the one at Port Dickson. Just that, it's situated at Perak instead of Negeri Sembilan.

Beaches got differences, eh? I think they are all the same.

Aha-ha. Ignore that.

Moment before we jumped into the sea with my boyfriend.

Okay, scratch that. My brother.

With my Mama! :-)

Thank you so much for willingly wanted to drive all the way from Bangi, Selangor to Lumut, Perak.

Dinner!

March 17th.

March 17th '15 marks as one of many best days I had had in the year 2015.

Want to know why?

Imma tell you, now!

At first we wanted to go to Marina Bay, but for some reasons we had to cancel the planned. We then, decided to pay Teluk Batik a second visit.

Breakfast!

First, let us take a selfie!

Selfie, again.

I don't know, but as for me, swimming for hours could be boring. Especially when you couldn't go anywhere far because, hey it's the ocean we are talking about. Not the ordinary swimming pool. So, we, the children, decided to play the sea games!

Guess what are they?!

.

.

Some clues.

Any ideas?!

I have no ideas what is the name of this game but, it was really fun!

RM10 per pax.
3 to 5 people per ride.
It'll drop you!
I give, uh, 10 out of 10!

Moving on to the next game,

This is the BEST game out of all games I played.

RM10 per pax.
The price is very reasonable, so it's compulsory for you to give it a try. Or, you'll regret a lifetime!
3 people per ride. (Up to you, if you want to ride it, alone, also can).
I give, 15 out of 10!

Next,

Banana boat!

RM5 per pax.
10 to 12 people per ride. (Depends on the size of the rider).
It would stop at the middle of the sea and allow you to swim there for a while.
It'll drop you, if you want.
I give 9 out of 10.

Lucky we all were, since we literally spent quite a lot amount of money playing the sea games, the owner decided to give RM10 of discount for the Banana boat ride. We gathered 12 people and unfortunately, found out that Angah and I weren't able to join the ride. As it would exceed to 14 passengers.

Of course, both of us felt so wretched, but we ain't know the meaning of giving up! We gather the courage to ask the owner, if we could still join the ride, and guess what happened next?

.

.

.

No, we weren't allow to be on the Banana boat.

But,

Was allowed us to ride the boat that brings the Banana boat!!!!

"Semua benda kau naik eh!"

It was seriously the best experience I could ever have!

Meets Angah also known as Naily Athirah, everyone! She's a doctor, for your information!

Swimming in the middle of the sea!

After spending hours playing and swimming, we went back to our home-stay and had our lunch. It was the last day of our vacation to Lumut, Perak.

The grandchildren of Tok Khalid and Tok Tah!

4 out of 12 Siblings of Mohd Khalid and Tah.

The orange community!

After we had our lunch we went back to Ipoh, Perak.

March 18th.

Went back to Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor.

Home sweet home.

//

Just so you know, Mama had twelve siblings but only four of them were able to make it to the Family Day. I really hope the next Family Day, all the twelve of them could be gathered. As I believe to the saying, "The more the merrier".  Such event is very important to be organized as this is what keeps the bond stronger despite the miles between us. Hopefully it would be held, again, in the future.

That's all from me. Hope you people are having enjoyable holidays. x
